There’s something afoot at the faire…
Running a Renaissance Faire that employs and houses a bunch of misfit paranormals means Verla Faeth is well-acquainted with mischief and mayhem. So when her ex, Finn Taragon, shows up unannounced with a puppy in tow as a token of peace, she’s prepared for almost anything. Except tripping over a dead body, finding out the dog is a Cerberus, and apparently, she’s moved from wanna-be seer to crosser-of-the-dead.
Finding the murderer will be hard enough, but having Finn move in next door to her might just be her undoing.
Another round on the house…
Dealing with demons was not on Verla Faeth’s list of things to handle today. But she has no choice when they show up at her Ren Faire at the same time a dead body is found in the basement of the Tavern on the Line. Did the barkeep’s cousin take his own life, or was he helped along?
Mayhem ensues as Verla, her faithful dog Figiggly, and her ex-husband Finn, do everything they can to save the faire. But at what cost? And will it be worth it to make a deal with a demon?

Verla’s Days Without Incident Board is counting up the days, and she couldn’t be happier. But she’ll have to go back to zero when she finds a gargoyle in the maze, a kelpie in her favorite fountain, and a phoenix at the forge. Where are these creatures coming from and who brought them in? She’s got little time to find out and even less patience for someone wreaking havoc with her faire. Again. She’ll get to the bottom of this bottle of trouble, no matter what it takes. As long as it’s not her life.

All Verla wanted to do was have Seawaddle trained so the kelpie could have more freedom at the ren faire. Bringing in a top mystical creature trainer seemed like the best way to go. But in this faire of paranormal misfits, almost nothing ever goes according to plan. Between dragons, damsels in distress, and knights who don’t seem to know when to stop knighting, Verla is faced with a challenge unlike anything she’s seen before—when you cut the ties that bind, how far are you willing to go?
It was supposed to be the most epic Halloween Night at the faire…
It’s the current season’s final hurrah for the misfit paranormals and Verla Faeth at the Ren Faire. They’ve managed to overcome most of the trouble that’s cropped up, masking demon invasions, otherworldly visitors and the dead coming around for a pint by letting the normal folk think everything has been a rehearsal for the extravaganza that is Halloween night. Now that it’s here, it’s going to be awesome!
Or at least that’s what Verla is hoping for—until the ley lines crisscrossing the faire start pulsing bright green and snapping in the air, while ghosts and zombies walk around and all the misfits begin doing the one thing they’d been born to do but never could. Is it disaster or serendipity?
